Professional Services Integration Architect – Java, J2EE, ESB, ETL, Data Integration, Tibco, Mulesoft, Talend.

£68k base,  £BONUS plus Corporate benefits.

Office (Berkshire) or Home based with UK wide travel

 

Working either independently or in a team of consultants, the Architect takes a primary point of contact role with clients on consulting engagements. Architects bring a combination of technical and domain knowledge, written/verbal communication, and client management skills. The role requires extensive travel, upto 75%. This is a UK based role; 
 

Job Responsibilities include:​

  • Working on client sites, provide the highest level of knowledge and experience in the entire ESB and/or DI solution lifecycle: Planning, Analysis, Architecture, Design, Development, Testing, Client Training, Enablement and Knowledge Transfer and Operations.

  • Technical Account Management

  • Share knowledge across the team and continuously develop and enhance personal and team capabilities.

  • Identify potential software sales opportunities with customers and share with the relevant field representative

  • Promote the use of Technologies and Solutions, Best Practice and Methodologies on all engagements

  • When required to support the Pre-sales lifecycle: conduct PoCs, support proposal development

  • Adhere to internal processes including knowledge share, community contribution, documentation, solution development initiatives and timely T&E reporting etc.

 

Desired Background & Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus or similar technologies

  • Working knowledge of Java , WebServices, REST, JMS, Enterprise Integration Patterns, OSGI soapUI, jmeter, SQL, XML, SOA Architectures

  • Knowledge of Apache Foundation middleware products: CFX, ActiveMQ, ServiceMix, Karaf, Camel

  • Good understanding of Java Frameworks like Hibernate, Eclipselink or Spring; 3+ year experience with mainstream RDBMS

  • 3+ years Integration software solution development/deployment consulting experience; preferably in SOA / ESB projects

  • Experience in performing Technical Project Leadership or Management roles is desirable but not necessary

  • Understanding  of mainstream ERP systems is desirable but not necessary

  • Working knowledge of DI / ESB/ SOA delivery methodologies would be a distinct advantage

  • A degree level education or have relevant technical or functional experience.
